'Familiars can alter their physical form and change back and forth between any animal' Does this mean a character could turn into a cat, then a human again, then turn into a pigeon?
Yes, they can change between any animal though many will likely find they are better suited to one type of

In the roles section it says "Familiars can "Dedicate" themselves to a Myth or a Legend and develop a unique psychic bond as long as both parties consent" - do they need to be aware of it and aware they fit each other? Do they need to do anything in particular to form this bond, or would it happen as long their feelings are mutual?
Both characters would need to be aware of dedicating themselves to the respective roles mutually: "I agree to be your

Traditionally the idea is that there would only be one, but since the game implores characters to explore relationships, one

You mentioned that it's possible for Legends/Myths to have multiple Familiars "that serve different purposes." Am I correct in assuming this means like, a Familiar that's a platonic connection, one that's a romantic connection, one that's a familial connection, etc.? Would there any detrimental effects for someone accepting multiple Familiars in those different roles?
Yes! This can be very open to interpretation how players engage with the concept! There would be no detriment though

Question about changing a character's role! I saw that it's to be submitted through the canon update form, so does that mean characters who change roles turn into stardust and reform like characters who canon update, instead of, like, their cat ears fall off or shrink whatever and then they grow horns, as an example?
Yes, that would be exactly it! They would reform through the star dust.

Would something like an alien monster be alright for a familiar form, as long as it's roughly equivalent to a "normal" animal? IE no laser beam eyes or breathing fire or anything, but things with wings can fly, muscular aliens are strong, a cheetah-like form would be fast, etc?
We allow animals for the familiar forms, be it real life animals, mythical animals or animals that exist in some

I am wondering how consistent the physical attributes to Legends/Myths are meant to last. As in, would things like wings or horns be persistently there, or would they disappear at will? Would Legends be able to control things like the halo effect? On the roles page it says some of these features can be permanent while others can be hidden based on people's magical ability - does that mean the character has to have some sort of magical ability to hide them?
Once characters enter Folkmore and are given a role, they already have some sort of magic in them; the roles

As a Myth, can her physical changes be themed after her canon experiences? For example, rather than grow horns having glitched out features that appear depending on circumstances or emotions, eyes glitching black, that kind of stuff.
Glitchy features are fine!

Theoretically could two folks in the same body be different roles, in a case like Eddie Brock and Venom?
Each player character applying to the game is considered a person Thirteen brings to Folkmore and assigns a role to.

For legend questions, can legends have multiple pairs of wings? And even in unusual places? And glowing gold tatoos (Names/kanji of the people he's lost)? I'm not sure how much would be seen (either just when he's emotional (or shines brightly when emotional) or not but I'm just brainstorming for Legend form! Also glowing eyes?
Legends may have multiple sets of wings, including in unusual places. Glowing gold tattoos of people's names is too similar

Do characters gain Legends, myths, or familiars special qualities, wings, horns, etc, as soon as they arrive? Also can we use other physical changes then horns, tails, claws, and/or fangs for myths? Are things like scales, and spikes alright?
Players choice whether special qualities are as soon as characters arrive or not. Scales and spikes are okay for Myths;
